LCA Sports

Soccer:  LCA has a coed soccer team composed of students from our 5th through 8th grades.  We participate in the MHCAL (Mid-Hudson Christian Atheletic League).  Soccer is played from September thru the end of October.  Games are during the week right after school, with a final tournament played on a Saturday.

Basketball:  Presently, LCA has 4 basketball teams.  2 - JV teams (boys + girls) and 2 Varsity teams (boys + girls). We play in the OCPSL (Orange County Parochial School League) The students begin practicing in October (optional for those on the soccer team).  The basketball season runs from November to the end of March.  Practices run through out the week.  Games are normally scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays, but on occassion they may fall on a week night.  Admission is charged to help off-set the cost for the officals.  Concessions are usually available.  Parents are asked to help in the area of consessions and door admission.  At the end of the season there are playoff games and a final championship tournment played at Mt. St. Mary's College in Newburgh.

There is a "participant" Sports Fee charged for each sport a student may be in to help off-set the cost for uniforms, officals and expenses incurred in running a successful sports program.

Leptondale Christian Academy is open to any suggestions in adding to our sports program.  Our coaching staff are all volunteers and we are grateful for them.
