DRESS CODEA dress code has been established which is neat, clean and affordable, and does not draw undue attention to the physical body. Our philosophy of dress is to build character through respect for authority, to be a testimony through modesty, and to create an atmosphere appropriate for a Christ-centered education. GRADES 1 - 8BOYS and GIRLS
Parents are allowed discretion in the selection of proper outer garments for the health and comfort of their children during cold or inclement weather. These items may not be worn in the school building. If a student gets cold inside the school building they must wear a dress code appropriate crewneck or cardiagan sweater in an allowed color. Hats and caps may not be worn inside the school. Hair should be neatly groomed, boys trimmed above the collar and above the eyebrows, and not have any hair falling into their eyes. Styles should not draw undue attention to the student. A more standard or traditional style is preferred. No mohawks, afros, shaved heads or any unusual haircuts. Boys may not wear ponytails or braids. No coloring or dyeing of hair. Students may wear one watch, rng, bracelet, and necklace or neck chain. Girls may wear one pair of earrings with the exception of hoop earrings of any size. All jewelry must be appropriate and not distracting. the administration reserves the right to decide if a particular item does not fit within the school's philosophy. Boys may not wear earrings. No nose piercings or nose rings. Parents are allowed discretion, within the school's philosophy, to select school clothes for their kindergarten children. Clothes must fit properly, be clean and modest. No lights in shoes, wheels or other distractions to the class atmosphere will be allowed. The faculty and administration reserve the right to decide if a particular item does not fit within the school's philosophy. Interpretations of the dress code, if needed, will be at the discretion of the administration. Violations of the dress code will be disciplined at the discretion of the administration.
